I recently picked up cable again..and boy am I glad I did. Being the nerd that I am I instantly tuned in to the Sci Fi channel and caught a few episodes of "Farscape"..I didn't realize I was hooked till a few days later. Beats the hell out of Star Trek, ya know?
(Sorry Trekkies..personal preferences)

Of course, The show has strong female characters such as our little Nebarian friend over here. Stay tuned..I may do the rest of the cast if time allows.
